CHANGE IN ENTERING INTO PARADE AREA
PLEASE turn onto Minish Drive FROM Waterworks RD to line up in areas for the parade. LAKEVIEW DR FROM JEFFERSON RD WILL BE CLOSED to help make lining up in correct area easier.
Staging/Arrival time begins at 12:00pm
ALL ENTRIES WILL BE JUDGED PROMPTLY AT 2:15pm There will be 1st , 2nd and 3rd Places
FLOATS:
Maximum height of entry is 14 feet. Maximum width is 12 feet.
Float should conform to the holiday parade theme.
FLOATS MAY NOT HAVE A LIVE SANTA CLAUS!
All floats should have a sign or banner identifying the name of the group. Signs should be easy to read from both sides. No other signs are allowed.
All costumes should be in keeping with the holiday theme.
Each float must provide its own locomotion.
Floats may play amplified holiday music only.
Floats will be judged according to the parade theme.
Floats may not have go-carts, motorized bikes or batter powered vehicles riding with them.
Any walkers with a float must keep pace with the parade and be dressed according to the walking unit rules.
Floats must be ready to pull out into the street by 2:30 p.m.
WALKING UNITS/ DANCERS:
Walking units will be required to keep pace with the parade.
All groups should be dressed in a similar manner to promote the fact that they are a group.
Walking groups should carry a sign or banner identifying the name of the group.
Groups that walk with a vehicle must stay in the lineup with the vehicle.
VEHICLES:
All vehicles must have a sign or banner identifying the group, company or owner.
No individual go-carts, motorized bikes or battery-powered vehicles will be allowed in the parade.
No sirens, loud horns or other loud noises are to be sounded near performing units or horses.
Individuals under the age of 18 operating vehicles must provide a copy of the driver’s license with the application.
LIVE ANIMALS
Amplified sound other than appropriate holiday music will not be permitted.
Participants must diaper their animals and are responsible for cleaning the stage area back to original condition.

Deadline for entry is 5:00 p.m. December 1, 2026. The Commerce Downtown Development Authority reserves the right to accept or deny all applications
Every attempt will be made to keep car clubs or other groups together in the parade.
From the time of arrival until the parade is over, every individual associated with the units will behave in an orderly manner. If at any time, participants refuse to follow the parade rules or the instructions of the parade workers, they will be asked to leave the parade.
All rules and instructions must be followed at all times in order to ensure the safety of all parade participants. If not, you will not be permitted to participate the following year.
